theatre artist + performance scholar
hello!
I’m Sheridan, a theatre artist and performance scholar whose work explores the dramaturgical significance of intimacy on stage. I grew up in Pennsylvania’s Amish Country, trained in New England, and am currently based in the Midwest.
I am in my final year of the Master of Fine Arts in Dramaturgy program at Indiana University Bloomington. During my time at IU, I’ve served as the production dramaturg for shows in the Department’s season, developed new plays with members of the MFA Playwriting cohort, and co-produced the annual At First Sight New Works Festival.
While earning my MFA, I have maintained an active creative practice. This includes working professionally in the areas of literary management and intimacy direction at theaters across the country. Most recently I served as the Literary Assistant at Constellation Stage + Screen, Intimacy Coordinator with Off Night Productions, and the FAIR Literary Management Assistant at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
Outside of research and the rehearsal room, I can be found rewatching a comfort TV show (currently Buffy the Vampire Slayer) with an iced oatmilk latte in hand.
